Update:
On January 10, 2009, Betty J. Smith went to be with the Lord after nearly 6 months of her being totally incapacitated. In August she had an anuerysm and from then on was not able to care for herself as her mind was gone. She was in a nursing home since September. Her daughter, Catlyn, lives close by, so she was able to see her frequently and was with her when she passed.
Since then, Arnie has been re-united with his first wife, after 38 years. They were married Valentine's Day with family and a few local friends attending. Arnie is in the process of moving and settling in Crossville, Tennessee with his new wife, at her condo.

This week Paul Jaglowski and Dr. Arnie are ministering in Baudette, Mn. with Dave & Ducky Gens. Paul sings and Arnie preaches in the services as well as some peoples' homes while there.
Sunday, the church celebrated 25 years since Dave & Ducky came to Baudette to pioneer the work. Although they've had many challenges as well as opposition, God has sustained them over the years.
Sunday Paul sang and Arnie preached. Several also shared about what the church has meant to them. The service was followed by a dinner provided by members of the congregation.

Update on Pat Jaglowski as you can see from the Milwaukee report on the Current News page, Pat's doing fine. The doctors are saying she has a completely clear report and she has been back at work after only three weks after her surgery. She's feeling great. Thanks for all your prayers and cards. She told us at the conference that the cards meant so much to her as she read and re-read them.
Pastor Charlie Hansen of Kenosha has asked for prayer for a church building they've put a bid on. The decision is coming shortly.
They want God's will to be done!

Pastor Deb from Shenandoah, Iowa, has asked for prayer and donations for her ministry need of $10,000 April 1, 2008. She has to make a payment on her building, which is being used to minister to the needy. They find jobs, living quarters, and otherwise assist those coming to them for help, regardless of the problem. Many have drug or abuse problems. They are the only ones ministering that way in their area. Besides ministry, Pastor Deb has a background in social services of many years.
You may make out your tax deducxtible gifts to Living Word, marked Pastor Deb, and we'll forward every penny to her.
Pat Jaglowski is home from the hospital, resting and recuperating.
Thanks for all your prayers on her behalf.

Pat Jaglowski's surgery went well! Her surgeon said it was so routine, it was almost boring. Thank you to all of you who prayed for her. Her recovery-time is supposed to be about 3 weeks.
Jennifer Borre: her mother has reported that Jennifer is doing quite well. Her Dr. was about to pronounce her dead awhile ago, but her mother, Helen, and a nurse, Peggy Bushey, who's also a part of Borre's church, prayed. Immediately, Jennifer responded and has been improving ever since.

As a matter of Prayer:
Doug Roth has had a tough time the past several weeks. First, his wife attempted suicide, then his only sibling, a sister with whom he was close, was murdered in a bar where she worked in Milwaukee that made major news. She was helping to take care of their mother, who's sick. Doug performed his sister's funeral with lots of help from the Lord. His wife is recovering and receiving medical help. Although this has been the most difficult period of Doug's life, he's receiving strength from the Lord Jesus, and is giving Him all the praise. Doug is now the ass't. pastor at a Nazarene Church.

Pat Jaglowski just received her doctor's report from tests she had done Friday, that she has uterine cancer. She and Paul need prayer as to know how to proceed, and for her healing.
Roger Olson has been struggling with an infection known as mersa, which can be deadly. He's had minor surgery to deal with resulting boils, which are very painful. Please pray for his healing and that his employer gives him favor regarding the time he has had to be off from work.
He also watched his car burn-up and get totaled a couple of weeks ago, just a few days after slippery weather caused him to go into a ditch.
Update Jennifer Borre home from hospital, but still in serious need of prayer.
All of these people live in Wisconsin.

Max Colver continues to improve physically and has recently begun to work with the local police as a volunteer chaplain, going out with the police on calls.
